In the months following 9/11, a series of advertisements appeared in the financial press urging investors to `Bring Back the Bull!’ These proclamations, while well intentioned, did not `bring back’ the bull market. After recovering some of the price decline, the market, as measured by the Dow Jones Industrial Average, drifted sideways for several years.
